discapacitado
/diskapaθiˈtado/ · B2 · adj
handicapped
♿ dis- (not) + capacitado (capable) = not made capable, handicapped
Spanish discapacitado splits into dis- (lack of) plus capacitado (enabled, qualified), from capaz (able). Literally it means 'un-enabled'. Note that modern usage often prefers 'persona con discapacidad' (person with a disability).
