有する

ゆうする · yuusuru · JLPT N1 · verb-suru

to be endowed with

🏠 有 (have) + する (do): to do-have, so to own; 'have' plus 'do' gives 'own'.

有 means 'have' and する means 'do'. Joined, 有する means to possess or be endowed with something, the way you 'do-have' a property. Pronounce it yuu-suru.

有 — hand 𠂇 + moon/meat 月
Originally depicted a hand holding a piece of meat (月 here is the 'meat' radical, not moon), expressing the idea of possessing something. Over time the meaning broadened from 'to hold/possess' to the general sense of 'to have' or 'there is/exists'.
