👎 不 (not) + 評 (review, rating) = a review that comes back negative, so your reputation suffers
評 is the 'evaluate' character, as in 評価 (hyōka, evaluation). Put 不 in front and the verdict turns negative: people judge you badly and your name takes the hit.
不 — single pictograph; bird flying upward
Originally a pictograph in oracle bone script, traditionally interpreted as a bird flying up toward the sky and unable to come down, suggesting negation or refusal. Over time it became the standard negation word in Chinese, used before verbs and adjectives to mean 'not'.
