turco
/ˈtuɾko/ · B1 · adj
Turkish
🇹🇷 turco = Turk + o, the usual Spanish ending: Turkish, a Turk
Same root as English Turk. In Latin America, turco was also used loosely for Arab immigrants who arrived on Ottoman passports. That use is dated and can be offensive. Today it normally just means Turkish.
