seguridad

/seɡuɾiˈdad/ · A1 · noun · f

safety

🔒 seguridad = seguro (safe, sure) + -idad (-ity): security, letter for letter

From Latin securitas, the same root as English security. Spanish softened the c to g and turned -ity into -idad. Seguro means both safe and sure, which is why seguridad also covers self-confidence.
