🐾 rastro = what a rake (Latin rastrum) leaves dragged behind: a trail

From Latin rastrum, a rake: the drag-mark became any trace or scent to follow. Madrid's El Rastro flea market is named for the trail of blood left when carcasses were hauled from the slaughterhouse along that street.
