jet
/ˈʝet/ · B2 · noun · m
jet
✈️ Borrowed from English jet, but Spanish says it like yet
Spanish took el jet straight from English, which got it from French jeter, to throw, from Latin iactare. Same spelling, but the j is soft, close to an English y: yet. It is masculine: el jet, un jet privado.
