embarazo

/embaˈɾaθo/ · B1 · noun · m

pregnancy

🤰 False friend: embarazo is pregnancy, not embarrassment (that's vergüenza)

It probably comes from Portuguese embaraçar, to tangle or hinder, from baraço, a cord. Its first meaning was an obstacle, and it later came to mean pregnancy. English embarrass has the same root but kept the 'awkward' sense, which is also an old meaning of embarazo.
