disponer

/dispoˈneɾ/ · B1 · verb

to prepare, arrange

dis- (apart) + poner (to put) = set things out in order; cousin of dispose

From Latin disponere, to place apart, hence arrange. Same root as English dispose and disposal: disponer de algo = have it at your disposal. A disposition is also an order or ruling, which covers the stipulate sense.
