conmigo
/komˈmiɡo/ · A1 · adv
with me
con + migo: Latin mecum (me + with), then Spanish added con again
Latin said mecum, literally me-with. That wore down to migo, and speakers no longer heard the with inside it, so they put con in front. Conmigo is really with-me-with. Same pattern: contigo, consigo.
