código

/ˈkodiɡo/ · A2 · noun · m

code

💻 código = code + an extra -igo; same Latin root, codex

From Latin codex, a bound book of laws, which also gave English code. Swap the English ending for -igo and stress the first syllable: CÓ-di-go. In Spain's school slang it can also mean a cheat sheet.
