🧻 休紙 = rest + paper: paper that is done working, so waste paper
Hanja 休 (hyu, rest) + 紙 (ji, paper). 休 is the same hyu as in 휴일 (holiday) and 휴가 (vacation); 紙 is the ji in 편지 (letter). Paper put out of service became the word for tissue and toilet paper.
