👶 태 (womb, 胎) + 나다 (to come out) = come out of the womb
태 is the Sino-Korean 胎, meaning womb or fetus, the same root as in 태아 (fetus). 나다 means to emerge or come out, as in 나가다 (go out). So 태어나다 literally says to emerge from the womb: to be born.
