📅 ju = 週, the same character as the shu in Japanese shuu and Chinese zhou: week
주 comes from hanja 週, meaning a full cycle or circuit. A week is one full cycle of seven days. You already hear it in 주말 (weekend = week + end) and 매주 (every week).
