🍱 點心 = dot + heart: a small bite that dots the heart — same word as dim sum
점심 comes from hanja 點心, literally to dot the heart: a light bite that touches up an empty stomach. Cantonese reads the same characters as dim sum. Korean took the word for the midday meal, so jeomsim and dim sum are cousins.
