🏟️⚽ 運動場 = 운동 (exercise, movement) + 장 (place): the exercise place
운동 (運動) means exercise or sports, and 장 (場) is the Sino-Korean suffix for a place or ground. The same 장 appears in 시장 (market), 주차장 (parking lot) and 수영장 (swimming pool), so 운동장 is simply the ground where exercise happens.
