🏠 우리 (uri) = we/our + 나라 (nara) = country: our country
Koreans say 우리 (our) where English says my: 우리 집 is my home, 우리 엄마 is my mum. So 우리나라 literally means our country, and in practice it is how Koreans refer to Korea itself.
