🔟 十 = a cross of two strokes; Chinese shí became Korean sip
십 is the Sino-Korean reading of 十, the same character behind Mandarin shí and Japanese jū. Korean kept the old final -p that Mandarin dropped, so sip is closer to the original Chinese sound. Used in dates, money and phone numbers.
