🔥💡 bul sounds like bulb: a light bulb gives light, fire gives light too
불 (bul) is the first syllable of bulb. Koreans say 불을 켜다 (turn on the bul) for switching on a light, and 불이 났다 for a fire breaking out. One word covers both flame and lamp, just as a bulb replaced the flame.
