👪 부모 = 父母: bu (father) + mo (mother)
A Sino-Korean compound: 부 (父) means father and 모 (母) means mother, so the word literally says father-mother. The same two syllables show up in 부친 (father, formal) and 모친 (mother, formal), and 모 again in 모국 (mother country).
