🍜 ramyeon = Korean reading of 拉麵 (pulled noodles), same word as ramen
라면 comes from Chinese 拉麵 (lāmiàn), pull + noodles, the same source as Japanese ramen. Swap the Japanese e for Korean yeo and you get ra-myeon. 면 (麵) means noodles on its own, as in 냉면 (cold noodles).
