🐷 dwae-ji: old word dot (pig) + diminutive -aji = little pig
Etymology: the older Korean word for pig was dot (돝). Adding the small-animal ending -aji, the same one in gangaji (puppy) and songaji (calf), gave dot-aji, which wore down to dwaeji. The piglet word became the word for every pig.
