🎓 大學生 = big (대) + learning (학) + person/student (생)
대학 (大學) is literally big learning, the word for university. 생 (生) marks a student, as in 학생 (student). So 대학생 is a big-learning student. Same hanja as Chinese 大学生 (dàxuéshēng) and Japanese 大学生 (daigakusei).
