🏁 끝 (end) + 내다 (to bring out) = bring out the end = to finish
끝 is the noun for end; 내다 is the causative of 나다 (to come out). So 끝나다 means the end comes out by itself (it finishes), while 끝내다 means you make the end come out (you finish it).
