👉 그쪽 = 그 (that) + 쪽 (side, direction)
그 means that (near the listener) and 쪽 means side or direction. Swap the first syllable to get the set: 이쪽 = this side, 저쪽 = that side over there. 그쪽 is also a polite, indirect way to say you.
