🏫 교실 = 敎 teach + 室 room: the teaching room
교 (敎, teach) also appears in 교사 teacher and 교육 education. 실 (室, room) ends many room words: 화장실 restroom, 사무실 office, 침실 bedroom. So 교실 is literally the room where teaching happens.
