👌 Short for 괜하지 않다: not pointless, so it is fine
괜찮다 is a contraction of 괜하지 아니하다, literally not being in vain or not for nothing. Korean says okay by denying a problem. The -찮다 ending is the same squeezed negative found in 귀찮다 and 편찮다.
