🚶 걸어가다 = 걸어 (walking) + 가다 (to go): to go by walking
걷다 (to walk) is a ㄷ-irregular verb, so its stem 걷 becomes 걸 before 어. Add 가다 (to go) and you get walk-and-go: heading somewhere on foot. Its twin 걸어오다 swaps in 오다 (to come) for walking toward the speaker.
