🎁 感謝 = feel (感) + thank (謝), plus 하다 to do: to do feeling-thanks
감사 comes from the hanja 感謝: 感 (gam) means to feel, 謝 (sa) means to thank. Adding 하다 (to do/be) turns the noun into a verb. Same word as Mandarin gǎnxiè and Japanese kansha, so one root covers three languages.
