From 遣う tsukau, to use or send; as a suffix ts becomes z: -zukai
It is added to a noun to name how someone uses it: 言葉遣い kotobazukai is choice of words, 金遣い kanezukai is spending habits, 気遣い kizukai is care for others. The kana is づ (written dukai) because of rendaku voicing.
