~感

❤️ 感 = 咸 (all) + 心 (heart): what the whole heart registers is a feeling

As a suffix, ~感 turns a noun into a sense of it: 安心感 (sense of relief), 責任感 (sense of responsibility), 違和感 (sense that something is off). Sound hook: kan, as in I can feel it.

感 — heart 心 + 咸 (xián, phonetic)
A semantic-phonetic compound. The heart radical 心 at the bottom carries the meaning of feeling or emotion, while 咸 supplies the sound. Together 感 conveys being moved in the heart, hence 'to feel,' 'sense,' or 'be affected by' something.
