📕 題名 = topic 題 + name 名: the name a work goes by
題 (dai) means topic or heading, as in 話題 wadai, topic of talk, and 問題 mondai, problem. 名 (mei) means name, as in 名前 namae. Together they give the heading-name of a book, film or song.
名 — evening 夕 + mouth 口
A compound ideograph: in the dark of evening (夕), one cannot recognize others by sight, so the mouth (口) calls out a name to identify oneself. The original sense of 'name' broadened to include reputation, fame, and a measure word for people.
