💬 論 (discourse) + じる (from する, to do) = to do discourse
論 combines 言 (speech) with 侖 (orderly), so it means speech laid out in order, as in 議論 (giron, debate) and 論文 (ronbun, thesis). Add じる, a voiced form of する, and you get to do reasoned speech: argue or discuss.
