🧳 tsumeru ~ too-many-ru: cram too many in until it's packed tight
詰 = 言 (words) + 吉. It first meant to question someone closely, pressing them hard. The same squeezing runs through every sense: press things into a box (pack), press out the gaps (shorten), press on the details (work out). 詰め込む = to cram.
