🐑 うら (inner heart) + やむ (病む, to ail) = heartsick over what others have
Traditional etymology reads urayamu as 心病む, a heart that aches. The kanji 羨 is 羊 (sheep) on top of a drooling mouth (㳄): mouth watering over someone else's fine sheep.
