無視

むし · mushi · JLPT N3 · noun

disregard

🙈 無視 = without (無) + looking (視): to not look at, so to ignore

無 means none or without, and 視 means to look or regard, as in 視力 (eyesight). Ignoring someone means giving them no look. A sound hook: mushi is also 虫, bug, and bugs are easy to ignore.
