揺れる

ゆれる · yureru · JLPT N4 · verb-ichidan

to sway

🎐 yureru sounds like you-rear-oo: a horse rears and you shake and sway

揺 has the hand radical 扌: a hand sets something rocking. The same root gives 揺らす (yurasu, to shake something) and 揺りかご (yurikago, a cradle), so yu-re-ru is the cradle verb: to rock, sway, shake on its own.
