💬 意見 = thought (意) + see (見): how you see a matter
意 means mind, thought or intention; 見 means to see or a view. Together they give the view your mind holds, i.e. an opinion. The same 見 ends 発見 (discovery) and 見学 (study visit), and 意 starts 意味 (meaning).
