🔨 創造 = 創 begin/found + 造 build: to found and build something new
創 means to start or found (as in 創業, founding a business) and 造 means to make or build (as in 製造, manufacturing). Starting plus making gives creation. Watch out: 想像, which means fantasy or conjecture, is also read souzou.
造 — 辶 (walk) + 告 (tell/announce)
造 combines the walking radical 辶 with 告 (announce), which also gives the sound. Originally it meant 'to go and report to,' then 'to reach' or 'arrive at.' Over time the meaning shifted to 'to make' or 'to build,' the sense most common today.
