🚪 伺 = person 亻 + 司 (to attend, serve): attending on someone above you
The kanji joins 亻 (person) with 司 (official, to attend). Waiting on a superior covers all three humble uses: going to them, coming to them, and asking or hearing from them. Hence うかがう replaces 行く, 来る and 聞く.
