スーツ

スーツ · suutsu · JLPT N4 · noun

suit

👔 スーツ = English suit, with a long uu and a trailing tsu

A katakana loanword from English suit. Japanese syllables cannot end in a bare t, so the final t becomes tsu, and the long English vowel is kept with the ー bar: su-u-tsu. Say suit slowly and add a soft u at the end.
