ずれる

ずれる · zureru · JLPT N3 · verb-ichidan

off the point

zureru sounds like sure, err... the moment an answer slips off the point

ずれる is intransitive: something drifts out of place on its own. Its transitive partner ずらす means to shift something yourself. The noun ずれ means a gap or mismatch, as in 時間のずれ, a time lag.
