🍚🙏 頂く itadaku = lift to the crown of the head (頂): I humbly receive
頂 means summit or top of the head. Gifts from superiors were once raised above the head in thanks, so itadaku became the humble verb for receiving. Itadakimasu = I humbly receive this food.
