📖 预 (yù, in advance) + 习 (xí, study/practice) = study in advance
预 means beforehand or in advance (also in 预约 yùyuē, appointment). 习 means to practise or study (as in 学习 xuéxí). Together: to study a lesson before class — preview the material.
