seedling

🌱🌾 禾 = grain/cereal + 苗 = sprout, so a grain-sprout: a young rice seedling

禾 means standing grain or cereal grass; 苗 means a sprout or young plant. Stacked together they name the tender seedling stage of rice or other grain crops, before it grows tall.

苗 — grass radical 艹 + field 田
A pictographic-semantic compound showing young plants (艹) growing in a field (田), originally meaning 'seedling' or 'young sprout.' The meaning later extended to 'descendants' and became a surname, as well as the name for the Miao ethnic group.
