欣喜

happy
😊 欣喜 = 欣 (joyful) + 喜 (joy) — two happiness characters doubled up into delight
Both halves already mean happy: 欣 is gladness and 喜 is joy (the same 喜 in 喜欢, to like). Stacking two joy-words makes 欣喜 a stronger, more elated happy. The 喜 element shows up in many delight words, so it is a useful anchor.
喜 — drum 壴 (top) + mouth 口 (bottom)
Originally a pictograph showing a drum (壴) above a mouth (口), depicting people singing or shouting joyfully alongside drumming at a celebration. The combination conveyed festive happiness, and the character came to mean 'joy' or 'to like.' The drum element 壴 itself depicts a drum on a stand.
