🏠 主页 = main/master (主) + page (页) = the main page = home page
主 means main or master (think the host of a house), and 页 means page. Put them together and you get the main page of a site — the home page.
主 — flame/lamp on top of a stand 王
Originally a pictograph of a lamp with a flame on top of its stand, representing the lord or master of the household who tended the fire. The meaning extended from 'lamp/host' to 'master, owner, main, principal'. The character 炷 (wick) preserves the original 'lamp' sense.
页 — head 頁 (simplified 页), originally a person with emphasized head
页 is the simplified form of 頁, a pictograph showing a human figure (儿) topped by an exaggerated head (首). It originally meant 'head' and now serves chiefly as a semantic component in characters relating to the head or face. In modern Chinese it independently means 'page' (sheet of paper).
