The partly cloudy sky made the light soft on the wooden deck, warming my cold grey sweater as I crossed my arms to rest. The water shone against the distant mountains, but I kept my camera up instead of looking at strangers passing by. Today felt calm, like a quiet page in a long, wandering notebook.
